So last night was pretty righteous.
After a excruciating (how do you spell that anyway?)ly hot but lovely(ha) bus ride to CityPlace we arrived at City Pizza and it was pretty entertaining because when we told them we had about 30ish people, the waiters just kind of stared at us in shock. But we sat eventually. It was really great for me because I had been away in Costa Rica for vacation and hadn't seen anybody in a while, yay for reunions!
Anyway.
The pizza was delish. Scrumdillyumptious. And I'm very particular about my pizza, it has to have just the right amount of pisa.
Heehee.
Later, as we were waiting for the trolley to arrive so that we may depart towards Clematis(our next destination)suddenly a mass amount of schoolgirls and boys-dressed-as-schoolgirls stampeded the streets riding bicycles, some of the bikes were twice the size of a normal person! It was pretty hilarious, there was even a pope with a 'bubble' to protect him(it was actually just a bunch of pieces of wood that looked like a box). Pretty much amazing. Once the trolley arrived, I actually went with Reade and Christian in his car and listened to Michael Buble all the way, so basically we pwned you trolley n00bs.
Once in Clematis we stopped in the courtyard area and had ten minutes to get icey creamy from Sloans(which, by the way is one of my ultimate favorite ice cream places because its really cute)but when we got there, the line was way tooo long so we decided to wait after Worship to get it. Jeff arrived(by magic of course) and sang some really neat songs(simple-minded in particular), it was very special for me because its tough to sit there in the middle of town(sort of) and sing songs about Jesus, you're basically putting yourself out there(I was at least) and declaring that yes, you are a Christ follower and love to sing his songs outloud in front of strangers;that you aren't ashamed of him.
Anyhoo, Chris then gave a message on being simple-minded, it was very cool because I know for a fact it is very difficult to be simpleminded in our society, school is beginning soon and that is on MY mind all the time, I have to remind myself to just chill and sit back and think about God all the time. Its part of our humanity to have thousands of things on our mind but with the Holy Spirit in our hearts, He helps to calm that craziness.
Afterwards we went to Sloans(again) and got yummy ice cream, all the while taking interesting pictures. Aaron Monrock in a purple wig in particular.
Yay!
